The Unforgivable Sin
I have only had guild wars a few days, so forgive me if this is somehow obvious. I play as my listed namesake in game, and I was just basically called an idiot because I don't play with rez signet. The person, who I will not name because that is cowardly, simply would not allow for the concept that a single-use-per-battle rez wasn't worth crowding out my skillbar for the build I am using. Also, they said "I can't beleive a guild would accept someone with that attitude." To which I replied that I didn't feel that not taking rez signet signified anything more than a tactical decision, and even if it was a bad one, was not something that I was even willing to CONSIDER feeling guilty about, particularly not in RANDOMLY MATCHED arena fights. I would feel differantly if I was in say, a guild that had a policy as such, and was told to use it.
So I thought I would toss it out to the forum, do any of you ever run PVP builds without rez signet? To me, I just don't think my stubby sprintless warrior legs are enough of a threat to the other team rez wise. If I am wrong then maybe I will start running with rez signet after all, although I do feel that all 8 of the skills I am currently using are necessary for the way I play thus far.

Random arena fights, I carry my rez signet on me.
PvE I don't.
Guild matches, I don't. I know my guild, and I know I have very capable rezzers, so that I don't need too.

Res signet is only worthwhile in random arena fights, and even then, its use is limited. In all other pvp matches, if you are a secondary monk, you should hold a res spell. If not, your monks should be able to handle everything rather well

Agreed with the above. Don't take it to heart. Kind of a narrow minded approach, IMO.

Yeah don't sweat it. I don't carry my res signet anymore apart from in random arena fights 'cause I don't know if I'll have a capable rezzer on my team or not. Other than that I usually have a person with me who can res, whether NPC or otherwise.

Well, I always bring rez sig into the random arenas with me, based on the logic that it's actually one of the best rezzes... it doesn't require an attribute, the returning stats of HP/energy are good, a 3second cast time, and no energy cost. The only downside is that you can only use it once per match, but in my experience, if I have to rez more than once, we're probably gone for anyways, especially in 4v4.

It is usually a good idea to bring it into a random pvp match since it will inable you to rez a fallen monk if your team failed to protect that player. I always bring it into the random arena because of that. I don't mind if other players don't but one must accept that if you can't rez a fallen hero yourself you will be the last fallen warrior to be rez'd in turn. Valerian

I bring it all the time because I think of it this way. Having all teammates alive at any given time is one of the biggest advantages. I think I will really never see a good party of 3 beat a mediocre party of 4.

Most of the times monks wont rez in PVP, for that reason its usually up to everyone else collectively to rez whoever the monks let drop for whatever reason they let them drop.
For that reason, I personally would always PVP with rez signet up as a non monk.
However, if other people, especially my enemies in PVP, dont want to load rez, more power to them, I really dont think it is any sort of mandatory thing.
In all honesty, like the previous poster said, having an extra player is too good of an advantage in PVP, I would rather be even teams rather than a player down any day. I cant really think of too many builds I would run that couldnt live with 7 slots vice 8 to account for this.
